Students will discover their own voice through a creative mix of prose, poetry, drama, storytelling, plays and choral speaking.  This is an excellent program for those wanting to expand their classical education while gaining new confidence in public.  These courses include drama games, improvisation and other activities to free students' imagination and to help them create character through expressive movement and voice.  

 

 

 

Students study and interpret a variety of literary forms from the western classical and modern literature.  Courses will build on the learner's expressive potential and teach the vocabulary and language skills necessary for appreciating, interpreting and discussing various literary art forms.  Lessons include learning relaxation techniques, proper breathing, projection and articulation for improved oral communication.

These examinations provide an international standard for students and lead to both performing and teaching certificates.  

Students learn progressively and take a series of graded examinations.  Some courses are offered as credit for certain high school marks.  

Performance opportunities include participation in recitals, workshops, festivals and competition.  

 

 

Group Instruction

Private Instruction
 

One-on-one lessons are for students eager to develop expressive speech in a more structured, goal-setting environment.  Students study and interpret a variety of literary forms from the western classical and modern literature.  Lessons include learning relaxation techniques, proper breathing, projection and articulation for improved oral communication.

 

 

Exploring Shakespeare: Ages 13-17 (Grade 8-12)
 

This course incorporates the study of Shakespearean monologues, scenes and sonnets to expand imagination, vocabulary and language skills in a performance environment.

Special Workshops and courses will be offered from time to time.
