Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) In recognition of the dedication and hard work of those candidates who achieve outstanding results in their examinations, a number of awards and scholarships are awarded each academic year by RCM Examinations.

	British Columbia (BC) Silver Award Silver Medals are awarded for each academic year (i.e. September 1 to August 31) in each province or designated region to the candidates in Grades 1 to 10 who have obtained the highest marks in each grade and discipline. To qualify for Silver Medals, candidates must have obtained at least 80 percent in the practical examination and have completed the co-requisite theory examinations for their respective grade. RCM First Class Honors with Distinction Candidates achieve the range of mark between 90 - 100. RCM Honors with Distinction Candidates achieve the range of mark between 80 - 89.

Trinity Guildhall (TG) All successful candidates in the Grade and Certificate examinations receive certificates showing their level of achievement as Pass, Merit or Distinction.

	TG Distinction Candidates achieve the range of mark between 85 - 100.
